About St. Wilfred's High School

I am very pleased to state that the St. Wilfred Education Society is promised to the entire development of a wholesome foundation for a generation which would shape the bright future of our nation in the years to come.

If you fall in your own eyes you can never get the respect of the others in order to fulfill your aims you have to organise yourself, lead a disciplined life, form a good character and rest follows".

Schools today are no longer mere centers of spreading literacy – if a school today encompasses a much wider horizon they are facilitators in the important process of personal growth and development of an individual as a resourceful member of the society.

What according to you is the importance of education – scoring high marks? Certificate acquisition? Honing the skills of rote learning to spew out the crammed information effortlessly?

Unfortunately this is the sole purpose of education being marketed by our system today. Education has to serve the means to open the mind. It has to teach us how to think rather than telling us what to think. This is what we aim to do at The St. Wilfred's School – implant a seed of inquisitiveness, cultivate a love of learning and groom the child to become an independent thinker and a visionary leader.

Our children need to be guided to learn to think, reason, analyse and not follow blindly. Combine the learning with actions, let unavoidable errors impel them to seek greater understanding. Teachers, parents and guardians need to work together to give our children a platform from which they may learn to open their wings and soar up confidently towards success.

It's my greatest pride and privilege to extend heartiest and warmest welcome to all the budding students, proud parents, dedicated teaching, non-teaching staff and all the stakeholders in our promising and progressive High School and Junior College situated in a majestic natural environment. Education is considered as a never ending and ever changing process responsible for incredible and commendable sources of transformations in the life of human beings.

We Wilfredians are committed for providing quality education to all the learners with the blending of theoretical as well as practical knowledge needed for accomplishment of holistic development with the help of whole hearted support of dedicated and visionary Management. There is successful organization of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for exploration of hidden potentialities of the learners and enhance their skills for versatile personality.

We also celebrate different festivals with pomp and gaiety for the purpose of understanding the significance of rich cultural heritage and its ethos to be inculcated amongst the students. Our scintillating and mesmerizing "Pravaah Annual Day Celebration" is an emblem of incredible talent and commendable creativity demonstrated by our enthusiastic and promising students.

We firmly believe in effective use of teaching and learning methods such as experiential, demonstrative, interactive and project based incorporated in NEP 2020 for igniting the young minds with curiosity, interest, creativity and innovation leading to the development of scientific temperament amongst learners from Pre-Primary to Junior College.
